Bond and Deportation Fund

LALDEF has launched the Bond and Deportation Fund, offering financial support on a first-come, first-served basis to assist families who have a family member in detention with bond or legal fees. We aim to assist as many low-income families within Mercer County as we can until our fund runs out.

We recognize one of many challenges for our community is the financial strain caused by having a loved one in detention or fighting deportation. Our fund would provide you with up to $1,000 to use towards bond or legal fees. If you are seeking support for yourself or a loved one, please complete the form below. After submitting your application, you will be contacted within 5-7 business days as to the status of your application and if you have been approved.

To apply, we require proof of financial need including, but not limited to, W2 statements, the most recent tax year's return, or a letter from your employer with earnings listed. Please include proof if your family receives any type of public benefit (SNAP, Medicaid, WIC, etc).

You must look for other funding options in addition to LALDEF’s Community Fund for Bond and Legal Support, as financial support from our organization is not guaranteed.

Please note that you should not apply for this funding if your court date or date to post bond is within 10 business days or less of the submission date of this application.

No referral is needed. If you have general questions or need support, contact our offices at
