Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!

This month and every month, LALDEF celebrates the remarkable achievements and history of the Hispanic community. Since its founding in 2004, LALDEF’s mission has been rooted in the resiliency, support, and trust of the community we serve.

Here at LALDEF, an organization built by and for the Latino community, we believe that education is the first step towards empowerment. For many of our clients, arrival to the United States can come with a number of unknowns. From learning a new language to navigating the customs of day-to-day life, the challenges of adapting to a new life can be overwhelming. Through our hands-on, holistic programming, we offer more than just education, legal support, and guidance – we offer peace of mind to those on the pathway to citizenship.

What sets our work apart is our team’s profound understanding of the community we serve. The majority of our staff are bilingual in English and Spanish, with many having personal experience with the immigration process themselves.

A thoughtfully leveraged balance of both professional expertise and lived experience, our team offers hope, knowledge, and a helping hand to those navigating life in a new country. Our commitment is this: no matter where you’ve come from or where your journey may lead, our Casa Bienvenida will always have an open door and a welcoming community waiting for you.

LALDEF’s work is only possible thanks to our generous partners and supporters who have stood by our side for over 20 years. Whether you’ve been with us since day one or are just getting to know our work, we thank you for standing with the immigrant community during this historic time.

Together, we build a brighter future for the leaders, citizens, and success stories of tomorrow.
